What is Microneedling? Microneedling is a procedure that treats acne scars, surgical scars, burn scars, traumatic scars, stretch marks, wrinkles, and skin discoloration. Microneedling increases collagen production, and rejuvenates the skin by causing controlled micro-injuries to the skin. Is there downtime involved following a Microneedling treatment? You may experience facial redness for 12-48 hours after the treatment. Most people are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment. Does a Microneedling treatment hurt? A topical anesthetic is used to make sure the treatment is comfortable while still effective. Most people have commented they only feel a mild vibration as their skin is numb during the procedure. How quickly are results visible? Rejuvenated skin can generally be seen 6-8 days following procedure, with continued results over time. How many sessions for optimal results? Typically three or more sessions are usually recommended to achieve optimal results; however, most everyone notices a healthy glow to their skin after just one treatment. Is Microneedling safe? The procedure is minimally invasive, which means that there is little downtime and the healing process is quick. Aftercare is also very simple and can be fully administered at home.
